Dan is a Partner with the law firm of Weisman, Kennedy & Berris Co., L.P.A.  Dan passed the bar exam in 1995 and began his career at WKB the same year.  Dan served as a  Trustee of the Ohio Association for Justice for over ten years. 

Dan graduated cum laude form the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in May 1995.  He received his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in 1993 where he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society for outstanding accomplishments as a scholar in the field of business and management.  He received his B.S. from Miami University. 

Dan has extensive experience in handling mass tort and class action litigation.  Dan has served as liaison counsel and/or lead counsel in dozens of successful class action cases in the area of securities fraud, insurance, and general consumer litigation. Dan’s success in class actions has resulted in excess of well over $1 billion of benefits to class members.  Additionally, Dan’s extensive experience in mass tort litigation is demonstrated by his deep involvement in the pharmaceutical industry’s improper promotion and distribution of prescription opioid medications (Opioid litigation). In the Opioid litigation, Dan was an integral member of two teams that compiled the liability case against two major defendants and ran much of the day-to-day prosecution of one target defendant.   Additionally, Dan represented the State of Nevada in pursuing one of the target defendants.   Taking over a dozen depositions, as well as hundreds of other duties,  in the Opioid litigation, Dan’s work significantly contributed to settlements totaling over $10 billion on behalf of governmental entities.   

Dan has been recognized as a Super Lawyer from 2016 to the present.
